Payment

      • Payment Options
        • PayPal  - please make sure your payment address/shipping address are current in your PayPal account, as PayPal has a tendency to override the shipping information for BGG Store orders
        • Major Credit Cards - Visa, MasterCard, DiscoverCard, etc. - the applicable logos are shown on the payment page.
        • Taxes - Sales Tax (8.25%) will be charged on all orders shipped within the state of Texas, USA
        • Refunds/Exchanges
          • Returns for refund - We will refund items returned to us in original condition. Please contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) to begin the return process. Returns should be shipped to: BGG Store, c/o Kristine Anderson, 2750 Eagles Nest Court, Midlothian, TX 76065, USA. The refund will be processed minus any handling/shipping fees associated with the original order.  The refund will be either credited to PayPal or the associated Credit Card depending upon the refund deadlines associated with those payment methods.  If a refund cannot be processed because the refund deadline has passed, a gift card for the value of the refund will be issued via e-mail.
          • Returns for exchange - We will exchange items for equal or lesser value.  Buyer is responsible for any associated return shipping fees. The item being returned for exchange must be in original condition.
          • PayPal -  Refund deadline - 60 days from original date of purchase
          • Credit Card - Refund deadlines - typically 60 days from original date of purchase
          • Gift Cards - Will be offered as refunds if refund deadline for original payment deadline has passed.  Gift cards are only good for purchases within the BGG Store and are not valuable in the BGG Marketplace or for purchases related to BGG conventions
          • Shipping/Handling Fees - are non-refundable once the order has been fulfilled and shipped.  We will not refund handling fees on request to combine multiple orders into one package.  We will not combine orders into one package unless requested.  
      Shipping
        • Worldwide Shipping Offered - We offer worldwide shipping via the US Postal Service and your local postal service.
          • Handling/Shipping/Customs fees
            • Handling Fee - Generally, the shipping fees are included with the price of the product. As of Jan 19, 2016, US customers will be charged a $2.00 per order handling fee.  International Customers will be charged a $3.00 USD per order handling fee.  
            • Shipping Fee - We do have some larger/heavier items that will have actual shipping rates calculated.  Those rates are determined by the US Postal Service and you will see those rates before you "Confirm" your payment if you use the green "Go to Checkout" button.
            • Customs Fees - We do not charge customs fees for international shipments.  Those fees are assessed by each country's postal/customs service and the buyer/receiver will be responsible for those fees.  Please check with your local postal service to determine how those fees are assessed. If you are concerned about the customs fees that may be charged to you, please consider placing multiple smaller orders, instead of one large order.

        Method of Shipping

          • Packaging - Depending upon the size/weight of the products in your order, the items could be packaged to ship as a letter in an envelope, or as a package in a bubble-lined envelope, large white chipboard envelope, or a box.  
          • US Postal Service - The only shipping option available to the BGG Store is the US Postal Service.    
          • Customs Forms - All international orders will have a customs form as part of the shipping label.  Legally, because we are a commercial entity, we are not allowed to send items purchased from the BGG Store as "gifts".  Neither are we permitted to change the customs valuations.  If you are concerned about the customs fees that may be charged to you, please consider placing multiple smaller orders, instead of one large order.
          • Gifts
            • No gift wrapping is provided.
            • If you would prefer the packing slip not be included with the order, please leave a note in the comments of the order.
            • If shipping to a friend, make sure the shipping address is complete and correct.
            • If shipping internationally, 
              • The customs form with all of the included items and values will be on the front of the shipment packaging.
              • The customs valuation and type of item (Merchandise) cannot be changed, legally, since this was purchased from a commercial business (We will not change the type of product to "Gift").  Be aware of customs fees in the destination country.
          • Tracking Numbers
            • US Letters - Some orders are small enough in size that they are shipped as a letter and have no tracking number.  The shipping confirmation e-mail may provide a pseudo-tracking number starting with 0004.....  This is NOT a tracking number.  This is a postage stamp number.
            • US Packages - These orders will have a tracking number (generally starting with the number 9 that can be entered at USPS.com to determine its current location.
            • International Orders - All international shipments will have a customs record number.  While this is not, technically, a tracking number, the USPS does communicate the position of all international customs records at least until they enter the customs center in Chicago, Illinois, USA.  Once the order arrives in Chicago, it is processed and then flown to the destination country.  At that point, there is no guarantee that the customs record number will continue to be tracked either in the USPS system or within the destination country's postal system.
            • Estimated Delivery Time
              • United States - The USPS estimates delivery within 7 days to most locations within the US Postal System, depending upon weather, volume of mail, correct address, etc.
              • Rest of the World - Due to the transfer of mail between postal systems, the US Postal Service estimates delivery of international mail between 2-4 weeks.  Delivery estimates are based on weather, reliability of local postal services, volume of mail, correct address, customs, etc.
              Orders
              • Minimum Orders - All orders in the BGG Store MUST have a minimum purchase amount of $4.00 USD before checking out.  We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not comply.
              • Maximum Quantity purchases - Generally, orders will only be allowed to have a maximum quantity of 5 of any particular item.  Dominion promos (with the exception of the Blank cards) are limited to a quantity of 1 per order per instruction from the publisher.  We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not comply.
              • Order Fulfillment/Processing Time - To process an order and get it ready for shipping can take up to 3 or 4 days, depending upon the volume of orders we need to fulfill and whether we are on vacation.  When new products are released, it is possible that it will take about a week to fulfill any particular order based on volume of orders received.
              • Combining Orders - If you placed 2 or more orders within a very short time period and would like them combined within the same package for shipment, please leave a note in the comments section of the order and we will do our best to combine the orders.  However, there is no refund of the handling/shipping fees.  We will never combine international orders unless requested.
              • Splitting Orders - We would prefer not to split one order into multiple smaller shipments.  International customers, please be aware of your customs fees regulations and place smaller orders as necessary.  If your order needs to be split, please contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) and we will cancel the current order, process a full refund and then request that you place smaller orders.
              • Cancel Orders - If you placed an order by mistake, please contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com), as soon as possible so we can cancel the order and process a refund before it is processed.
              • Cancelling Items Within an Order - If you purchased a product within an order by mistake, please contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com), as soon as possible so we can cancel the item and process a refund before the order is processed.  Please note: The cancelled item may still appear on the packing list associated with the shipment confirmation e-mail due to a communication error between our store and shipping software programs. 
              • Adding Products to Orders - If you forgot to purchase an item in the store, you have 2 options:
                • Place a new order for the additional item.
                • Contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) to request us to cancel the original order and process a full refund.  Then you may place a brand new order with all of the desired items.
                Problems
                • Order never arrives - Address Correct - Please verify the shipping address in your order confirmation e-mail and contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) and we will send the order a second time, assuming we can determine the order has been lost/damaged/etc. within the postal system.  Please allow the full estimated delivery time before contacting us.
                • Order never arrives - Address Incorrect - Please verify the shipping address in your order confirmation e-mail and contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) as soon as possible with any updates (i.e., apartment/suite/floor numbers, correct house numbers, correct spelling of streets, correct address formatting).  If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect/insufficient address, we will request payment via PayPal of the full postage fee to resend the order.
                • Damage to a product - Send us (store@boardgamegeek.com) pictures and a description of the damage and we may be able to send a replacement, depending upon stock availability.
                • Missing product - If you did not receive a purchased item, please contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) and we will send the missing item.
                  Products
                  • Product Limits - Depending upon availability, publisher request, potential customer demand, we reserve the right to limit the quantity of any product available for purchase within an order. We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not comply with the product limits.
                  • Requests - If we do not carry an item that you are interested in, please contact us (store@boardgamegeek.com) and we will make the request. If you are a publisher and would like us to carry your product, please contact Chad Krizan (chad@boardgamegeek.com).
                  • Product Availability
                    • Publisher Provided - All products in the BGG Store come directly from the publisher.  
                    • Restocks - Some products are restocked on a regular basis, others need to be requested, others will never be restocked again.  This is publisher determined.
                    • Products Sell Out Quickly - We try to estimate the demand of a product when we request a product.  Usually, we have enough to meed the demand and then some, but sometimes, we are a little off.  If a product sells out quickly, we will request more, but whether we get more is subject to the publisher.
                    • Digital Downloads - Digital downloads are fulfilled within 24 hours via an e-mail with a download link to the pdf file.  Please make sure the e-mail address is correct before confirming your purchase. Note the Spielbox magazine downloads DO NOT include the bonus promos that are with the paper printed magazine.  If you have trouble opening the link, please let us know.
                    • Gift Cards - Gift Cards are fulfilled within 24 hours via an e-mail.  Please make sure the e-mail address is correct before confirming your purchase.  Gift Card codes have no expiration date, are only valid in the BGG Store, and are not valuable in the BGG Marketplace or for purchases related to BGG conventions.
                    • Gifts w/ Purchase - If there is a gift with purchase offered in the banner ads for the BGG Store, click on the banner ad to see the complete terms and conditions.   
                      Notifications
                      • Account Creation - Registering for a BGG Store account is optional, but having an account allows you to track your order history and quicken the order processing. If you choose to register an account, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that the account has been created.  If you do not receive the account creation e-mail, please check your spam folder or contact us to verify that your e-mail address was entered correctly.  
                      • Order Confirmation - When you have completed payment for an order, you will receive an Order Confirmation e-mail listing the products ordered and the shipping address.  Verify these are all correct.  If you do not receive the order confirmation e-mail, please check your spam folder or contact us to verify that your e-mail address was entered correctly.
                      • Shipping Confirmation - When your order has been fulfilled and is ready for US Postal Service pickup, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation e-mail with the packing list and shipping address and possibly a tracking number.  If you do not receive the shipping confirmation e-mail, please check your spam folder or contact us to verify that your e-mail address was entered correctly.
                      • Marketing - With each order purchased you have the option to opt out of any marketing notifications.  We only send e-mails directly associated with your order, and if you choose to stay opted in to our Marketing notifications you will be added to a mailing list which receives notification of new releases or other BGG Store news.
